As a first-year dermatology resident at Penn, I can still remember the day Norman Orentrich came to speak. He arrived with an incredibly gorgeous secretary and her dog. He spoke of hair transplants, which already were familiar to me, but he then went on to talk about silicone injections and dermabrasion and showed a series of very impressive slides. Although this slide show was incredible, I was deeply ensconsed in the world of traditional dermatology.
